84 pickup missing at highway speeds.

I have an 84 pickup 4x4 witha 22r. for the past two mornings on my way to work my little truck all of the sudden starts missing so bad i think its going to shake somthing loose. It does this only on the interstate highway. as soon as i get off and take the back roads it runs like a champ. i took the parkway, took it up some hills under a load and it runs great! i cant get it to miss unless it goes down the interstate. Last night i opened the hood and saw a spark plug wire arcing out. i replaced all four. this morning its still missing. any ideas?

cap and rotor? I would try looking at those for any carbon runs ect. I would change them anyway. Most likely time for a good tune up, especially if you have worn wires, they were most likely changed together last time. Check your timing to make sure that it is on as well. Let us know if you need anymore help.

Ill change the cap and button and see what happens. what baffles me is that i just rebuilt this engine 10,000 miles ago so all the wires and what not are new. but its not uncommon to buy junk off the shelf. thanks for the help guys

Do yourself a favor..... use a FACTORY TOYOTA cap and rotor only. A few bucks more, but well worth it. They last forever.

Please?
