What's your favorite offroad wheel for a tacoma?

Looking for some new wheels for my '00 tacoma, just want plain black and simple, nothing fancy just functional; and of course I want the most economical (but still quality) wheels. 6 bolt 5.5" pattern, 15" rims.
Looked at the pro comps, wondered if there was anything better or if these hold up well

Thanks

Look at www.wheelersoffroad.com They have black steel and alloy wheels that look pretty good. What size tires are you planning on running?

I've had the Procomp 98 series steel wheels on my truck for the last couple of years. Other than a small ding on the lip of the rim and rock rash they're holding up pretty good. Had to run a 1/4 inch spacer to clear the caliper.

Be careful of the cragar soft 8's. I bought a set and shipped to Belize to put on my YJ only to find out that ALL of them were out of alignment... the holes didn't align well with the outside of the rim, causing a constant wobble... Really sucks. Eating my new KOs unevenly. Shipping them back to the states for a replacement isn't cost effective, so I'll likely replace them with something else down the road.

If you do a search on other forums, you might find similar experiences.

I'm always looking for a bargain, but in the case of the soft 8's I definitely got what I paid for... Now I've got to buy a replacement set.

hmmmmm... that sucks. seems like lots of folks are running the cragars and haven't heard any negative yet; good to know. I was wondering though too, looking at the pictures of the cragars and then thinking of how strong my stock wheels seem to be; I saw a 4runner with black stock wheels, must've had them anodized unless there was some freak run of black wheels from toyota that I missed. I plan on doing 16"x8 wheels instead of my 15's to clear my future brake upgrade but I plan on running 32"x11.5 (295x70 i think was the closest I found for a 16") tires. (35"x12.5 or 10.5 R16 on my runner) maybe I will go with one set and see what they do; I must agree, you get what you pay for so again I'm kinda leary....
