Need a BIG favor in the Tacoma area. (a little welding)
Well, after 22 years I decided to change my O2 sensor.
Long story short, I busted off one of the 22 year old bolts that the grommet is held on by. 1 bolt does not cut it. Leaking a ton of exhaust fumes/heat into my engine bay.
Could anyone weld that grommet to my header for me? I know nothing about welding, but I imagine it would not be a very difficult task.
If necessary I could pay you, just trying to get some help.
Thanks a lot.
Alex

can't help you with the weld but maybe you can wrap a gear clamp (hose clamp) or two over the bolt area and under the pipe so that you can hold the O2 sensor in until you can fix it proper.

Dude it the exhaust is that fragile why pay someone for the enevitable. Might as well ge some JB weld. Either upgrade to a header or that the chance that someone who has is selling you a manifold that is not going to cause you problems.
Go purist and look for that perfect factory exhaust or go for a header, and get an erection.

I will try the gear clamps, thanks for the tip.
I am trying to avoid the new headers/exhaust that I so badly need. Just bought a new car, new dog, all sorts of crap!
Thanks again,
Alex
