trailer hitch

will the trailer hitch from a 2nd gen fit my 88 runner?

It should - the frames are pretty much identical.

I dont think you need to remove the spare. my 88 pickup has a tow package and the spare is still under the truck.

Pretty sure it's up out of the way and it can stay.( my spare tire holder is rusted solid so it's in the back)
