Block heater for a kzn-130

I am trying to find myself a freezplug style block heater for my 1994 Hilux surf 3.0L Turbo Diesel's first Canadian winter. My local part store and Toy dealer didn't have anything for me, Except the coolant warmer and sticky heat pad generic styles.

Any chance it might be compatible with the 3.0l gas one?

But i would prefer the factory installed freeze plug styled one. Could anyone point me in the right direction.

And while I have some peoples attention, What are your guys thoughts on some of these American built 4runner lifts? Would they be compatible with my surf?

There are quite a few on this site.

Welcome to the family... where are the pics?
Try www.roughtrax4x4.com they are a great shop out of Britain. They can source just about anything you need for the diesel and the prices are very good. You may need to send them an email though they use UK parts name references and they don't call things by the same name we do.
Try also www.toyotadiesel.com they have a few discussions about diesel block heaters running.
www.hiluxsurf.co.uk is a british forum most of their members have diesels and you might find an answer there.

Can you not just measure the core plug size?

I would think there are just a few different sizes.

Find the P/N for one of your freeze plugs, then compare it with P/N's for other motors that the block heater is compatible with.
