Ive picked up some front wheel locking hubs for me 91 IFS 4runner to change to manual. I got the pair of hubs for $25 as they are in bits. Can someone tell me where some info are to A) check i have all the bits B) work out how to put them back together.

Thanks in advance.

Check the links to the FSM's here... Links are in a sticky.

Aisin hubs are pretty simple tho, and strong.. easy to work with in other words.

theres a 93 FSM that will have a diagram of the parts.

Just remember if you are swapping from auto to manual hubs you need the extra hardware from the manual hubs to hold the wheel bearing .

Otherwise they do tend to come loose

This would be the thrust washer the 2 nuts and the lock washer for each side. And of course never seize the cone washers

Good luck

Going from ADD to Manual is a breeze and you should only need the 2 washers per side. I have mine setup and ready to go. All I'm waiting for is my instructor...he wants to use my manual hubs as a group demo in class. Doesn't bother me though cause we're all going to check my wheel bearings while its apart.

He has ADD, not AUTO.

AUTO hubs were on Toyota 4x4s came between 1984 and 1989

ADD to MANUAL you only need the Aisin Manual hubs for 86-95 (IFS) and the associated parts and a set of gaskets. You don't need any washers??
