Using OME 881's with a Rancho strut. Possible?

I have read in more places than one that the OME coils are to be used with OME shocks only. Yet I have seen many people run Bilstiens, Tokico's, and factory struts. Is it possible for me to use my Rancho Rs9000's that I already have with an OME coil spring? If not, does it have something to do with how the coil fits in the strut?

Thanks

Old Man Emu just recommends pairing their shocks with their springs. It may just be marketing hype but many of us have fallen for it.

I do believe folks have run Rancho shocks up front with no ill effects. But your thread is a good way to be sure.

ome/bilstiens

I know sonoransteel.com matches OMEs with bilsteins.
