Hey guys, just ran into an odd problem with my 91 toyota pickup (3.0 v6, manual).

So what happens is when i step on the gas pedal, the motor bogs down like it is going to die, it doesnt die it just takes a second and then revs up just fine, and if i'm already revving it has no problem. This just started happening today. Any thoughts?

may be a problem with the throttle position sensor, air flow meter or maybe a small leak in one of the intake duct boots.

 

k, i'm gonna check those out.

here's an odd thing, the check engine light does not turn on.

also, yesterday when i got off the free way, the similar symptoms happened only this time the motor stalled and would not start, i pushed it off road, tried cranking the motor for a minute. it wouldn't start, then all of the sudden it started and ran just fine with seemingly more power then before? havent had the problem since! so odd...

 

any updates on this? Having a similar issue with high idle and then stumble almost to stall.
