How to tell if your engine is frozen

How can you tell if you've frozen your pistons? (89 Pickup 22RE)

I've searched the forum but haven't come across anything explaining how to check if you froze your engine..

Why do I ask?
Driving home on the freeway my car stopped accelerating. The engine was off, the brake, oil, gas lights all turned on) I pulled to the shoulder.. Tried starting it back up, it started twice and died after about 5 seconds each time.. Towed it home..

I checked the oil dipstick.. had no reading.. So I'm afraid I killed my engine..

In the months leading up I never saw the oil light come on, so there was no indication I was out.. I refilled with 4 quarts of oil, hooked it up to the battery on my buddys Tundra and now it only turns and turns but doesn't start..

Think its frozen? Or think it might be something else?

Turn the main crank bolt with a rachet. IT should rotate with general ease in the clockwise direction..

Check the AFM. Look up the toyota 93 FSM in the FSM sticky..

Do a compression test.
High-Heat will destroy cylinder walls.

If it's turning over, it means that you haven't seized the motor...

High Heat = More friction...
and from what i know about engines, more friction = gouged up cylinder walls..
And gouged up cylinder walls are bad, mkay.
