Fan Bracket, Timing belt help

I just got finished replacing my fan bracket in my 94' 3vze. When i started it, i heard some rough sounds from somewhere around the pullys, it then died and was not able to idle when i tried to restart. I then noticed that i had left the intake sensor unhooked. I clipped it back on and now it wont even spark. I checked if i was getting any codes and I am getting code 24. I dont have my manual with me and have been searching around the web for the code description.

update:
After browsing the forums, i came across a couple of timing issues. I think while puting my new fan bracket on, i did not make sure there was proper tension on my timing belt. I'm pretty sure after starting it without the tension, it must have skipped a few and now my crap is way out of wack.

1. how do i get the timing back to where it should be?
2. how do i get the tension set on the tensioner located on the left side of the fan bracket?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

do a search on timing belt replacement. you should replace it (not put it back in time) if it actually got thrown around in there...perhaps h20 pump while your in there.

but first take off your timing covers and see if that is actually the case. you can put your harmonic balancer pulley mark at zero, then after removing upper radiator hose with engine input you can take off your upper cover to see the marks on the cam pulleys. belt should be tight all around.

If you're not getting spark then your timing belt isnt the problem... It should be easy to hear if the timing belt is off, there will be a lack of compression and the motor will spin faster.

thanks jay, your right... it was spinning faster and definately lack of compression. i will be doing the belt and water pump while i have the chance i guess, problem is I'm unsure as to how far the belt slipped. If i correct the timing, could it be possible that it would be out 360'? Is there a way to make sure that doesn't happen? Which direction should i turn the cams back to correct the slip?

that was a great write-up on the timing belt replacement. Thanks or the link. One problem i am having is getting that center bolt off for the harmonic balancer. I've tried using two wrenches... one on the main center bolt and one on the a/c pully bolt, but i'm affraid of putting too much torque on the pully bolt and stripping it. Any ideas?
