aftermarket oil pressure gauge help

i have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge and i took the old sending unit off the block and was going to screw the new fitting into the side of the block and it is a little too big.. has anyone ever had this problem before?

You need an adapter. Toyota engines typically use a British Standard Pipe Taper thread for the oil pressure sending unit.
