wardy's Hilux SR5 RN110 Build-Up Thread (3rd Gren Truck)
Hey guys, I have just joined the forum so i thought i would put my australian built rig :0
THIS IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION...More to come
Take one RN110 extra cab SR5 hilux.....
Remove the Independent Front Suspension (IFS) and install a solid axle(SAS) with crossover high steer...
Level the back with some 63" custom leaves and 3" longer shackles...
Remove the old tired (only 362700 Km's on it) 22R (2.4 litre petrol) four banger and put in a completely rebuilt Chev 4.3l V6...
Swap the G52 gearbox for a R150 from an early RV6 Forerunner..
And finally fit a Detriot locker to the rear with the lockrite up front..
To add some horses to the motor iv have added 4bbl Quadrajet and edelbrock manifold plus 3 core radiator i had it dynoed at over 220 rwkw on 33's.
Snake Racing supplied the Crossover High Steer, steering box and front diff moved 2" forward,
custom rear springs & spring mounts, 33" procomp A/T's, 4.88 diffs, 2"body lift, 2"suspension,
upgraded to dual cyclinder front disk brake calipers with 300mm rotors, R151F Heavy Duty 5 speed, heavy duty Delta clutch plate with Yella Terra Pressure plate.
so that just about covers the mods time for some pics
Stock hilux
IFS all torn, finishing the shock hoops.
The new high steer.
Done, just need to sort the rear out now.
I dont have any pics of the rear being done owell.
The old 22r (RIP at the scrap heap)
The new chevy v6 Donk.
All Wired up and running.
Now for some wheeling. (this is the only picture i have of her offroad
)
Was all done 3 years ago this is how she looks today.
