Question 22re rebuilt motor wont fire, need help

Im a new member here but have had my 87 yota for a while now and have been using information off this site for a while but here is my first post.

I have an 87 4x4 yota with 22re that took a crap and now I have a rebuilt motor that I installed and can not get it to fire. I have checked timing multiple times, dead timed it, took valve cover off and verified TDC as well and everything matches up. I have checked for good clean spark and everything seems to be good there, Im getting fuel up to my fuel rail and it pressurizes with the key turned to on so fuel pump all seems to be good. I also have bypasssed the VSV after finding the info on 4crawler's site (which has been a huge help so thank you) and Im out of ideas here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Spray a wee bit of starting fluid in the intake and see if she fires. This is a good test to make sure the you have spark and it fires when it should.

I have tried spraying fuel and it definitly starts to fire so it is defintily fuel related. I just started probing around and my injectors have power on both legs... definitly a grounding issue so my injectors are obviously not opening. guess I have to go through and check and recheck all grounds.

Well that's a start (no pun intended). Check all the plugs as well, TPS, AFM, ECU and such.
