Long travel shocks

Im going to be running Land Cruiser coils in the rear and a 2-2.5 in BJ spacers up front (depending on the condition of the LC coils). I need some long travel shocks that are in the $50 ea. range. Im trying to do this lift on the cheap and OME is just too expensive for me ATM.

Im not very knowledgeable on shocks but I'm assuming I can just measure the compressed and extended length of my original shock and then add 3-4 in on to it. Does the shock application matter (ie. for a ford, chevy, ect.)?

I do some offroading but not enough to break anything. Im doing the lift so I can tuck 33x12.50's and get a lift out of the mud.

you can buy shocks from 4wheel parts for like $30 a peice for most shocks, and you can select your vehicle and get shocks with +4" of lift to 0" of lift

Mmmm, no reason for a suspension lift then.
Simply throw on a 2" bl and call it done.
Simple as.

... or do 33x10.50 and get the same clearance out of the mud without needing to spend any money on lift...
