91 yota pickup -- Accelerator pedal hard to push

The accelerator pedal is really hard to push...I checked the cable and pedal spring, both are ok...The part the cable hooks onto on the throttle body is really hard to push...should I replace this part? If so, is there anything I need to know to replace it?

Remove the throttle body and clean it, they can get real dirty and that can and will make the throttle stick.
