90 pickup while its idleing foam start bubbling out the radiator

its got the 3vze and if i run the truck a little and then check the radiator while its idleing foam start bubbling out the radiator. Is this cause of an exaust leak or somethin of the sort? Im guessing that i have a cracked block or head or somethin is this right? cause the truck has an overheating problem and i know its not the t-stat.

Sounds like you have a bad headgasket. Usually overheating a 3vze (or 22re) will result in popped hg or cracked head (aluminum).

Coolant will eat bearings pretty quickly so don't let the oil and water mix for long..

Still could be head gasket. Could also be a leak somewhere allowing the water pump to suck air and cause the foam you're seeing in the radiator. Either way, if the coolant looses contact with the walls of the water passages, cooling efficiency drops and overheating can occur.

I'd fill it to the top and see where it leaks out, in to the oil, out of the side of the water pump, into the exhaust. If air is coming in, water has to be able to go out somewhere.
To that end, I'd get the cooling system pressure tested and see where it goes. You can buy a kit, I think they are cheap, or you can have a garage you trust do it.

Have had several head gasket leaks like that (cylinder to coolant passage) in various vehicles and never saw any oil/coolant mixing. Only had the pressurized exhaust gas forcing it's way into the cooling system. A cooling system pressure test or chemical test kit for the coolant (NAPA carries the kit) will tell for sure.

The idle speed is too high, see the 2nd Q&A on the web page below:
