Mt's all the way.

The bigger lug voids are better for almost every terrain..

Well seeing as how I used to slip and slide with my AT's, And now with the MT's I can basically just walk up the rocks... So sure, You can say I have a point.

Its simple 4x4 though, The more aggressive the tire the better it will perform.
Although that has alot of variables..
OP, Your in Connecticut, So sounds to me like you will probably encounter mud alot on the trails you might run.

AT's suck in mud, trust me I know.
The MT's are quite a bit better..

i got mts on my 85 4runner and they perform really nice because the tread is so big that they just keep getting more traction on the mud
you know

Obviously the M/T would do better off-road than the A/T.
I'd go with the KM2's all day - I have them on my '85 and love them.

Better watch it there scoob.
It did when Anthony had it, it's still getting a makeover.

Frame is straight, will be making the long haul to Wabbit's shop at the end of the month to get new suspension, axle gusset and tubbed fender wells.

Then we'll see what she can do.

My bfg a/ts sucked balls, they was on the truck when I got it and they rode good for about 2k miles then they started riding like no matter how much balancing we did they would ride crappy they still had tons of tread left also.I made the mistake of taking the truck to the hunting club one weekend after it rained and the tires got filled up with mud and I slid off the road into a tree on my perfectly dent free pickup and the worst part about it is,the dent is under my ext cab window

The A/T's aren't made for thick mud so that's the reason they slid in it, I would guess.
As far as them wearing oddly, it sounds like they have been improperly inflated - might have been cupped causing a bumpy/shaky ride.

I've never heard a single bad thing about the A/T's.
When they were first released (pre-KO) they had trouble in rain/slippery conditions, but they have since been re-designed and handle much better.

The KM2's have been great to me - rain and wet grass is all the '8 has seen since I've had it but it's done great.

You may also look into the MTZ's if you want to try something different, I've run two sets of them, 265 and 285's and they rocked.

My truck splits it's time between dirt/sand and road. For me, the AT's are a no brainer. I suppose if my truck only saw trail-duty, I would go for MT's for obvious reasons of traction.

Or go all out and go with the Krawler's...
