Those Of You With Rear Component Speakers In The Rear

I plan on purchasing and installing 5 1/4in Pioneer component speakers for the rear. Those of you with rear component speakers in the rear, where would be the best place for the tweeter for the best sound quality? I am providing a pic of my rear door, so you guys can give me an idea of where to put it. Thanks

Also try checking out Jason B's website, as he has quite a system installed in his rig.

My MB Quartz tweeters in the rear doors are in about the same place as pfdaxe's are. That is about the best place I think. That way if anyone is sitting in the seat, they won't block as much of the highs coming at you!

Good luck.

i agree with everyone elses suggestions for placement. one thing though - if you can get tweeters that 'angle,' meaning the little plastic housings that they sit in allow the physical tweeter to angle up...this is a nice feature since it can allow you to position it closer to ear level.

The polk momo's that i have on my front component speakers have this angling feature and it's priceless...instead of them angling straight across the dash at neck level, i can angle them up towards my ears. it really helps.

good luck!
