VA Toyota delaer/service.etc opinions on Website?

I have been poking around and found some of the local dealerships etc, have service coupons and posted them to the site. While doing that I am remembering all my good and bad experiences and thought it would be helpful to post them. Do you guys have any service stories of comments to share?

Started jotting down a few of my memories, and I think I would like to save people trouble. Avoid Bill Page Toyota in Falls Church like the plague, if you break down right in front of it, pay to be towed elsewhere.

I will be posting my other experiences and specifics on the site as soon as I get a good system for it. So far it works in this format;

XYZ Toyota Dealer: General comment
Sales: Comments
Service: Comments
Parts: Comments

ABC Toyota Business: General comment
Sales: Comments
Service: Comments
Parts: Comments

Eventually we could have individual comment for the same places listed by the author's username, Ian could contribute his opinion of High Tech in Chantilly, Sean had some springs made, etc.

When I was looking to buy a used 4Runner, I stopped by Bill Page's used lot. I couldn't put my thumb on it, but I just wasn't happy with their service.

I finally bought from Miller Toyota in Manassas. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a used Toyota. I don't have an opinion for their new car lot, but their "Pre-Owned Vehicle Center" is very good.

I wasn't pressured to buy the 4Runner and we took a long test drive. A lot farther then I expected.

Miller Toyota: Very Good "Pre-Owned Vehicle Center"
Sales: Knowledgable, friendly, no pressure to make the sale.
Service: busy folks, open late.
Parts: n/a

For quick oil changes, I would recommend Lube-It off Gallows Road in Merrifield. You can get a $5.00 off coupon for their "15 Point Full Service Check ($28.95). " They check and refill most fluids.

Perfect, will drop that info in, hopefully soon cuz it looks like I'm going to be really friggin busy for the next several weeks.

I have coupons from local dealers ready to go on the website, am getting several updates together and then will publish them all.

There's a coupon for Tysons toyota for an oil change for $19.99, Heather will be taking the truck in tomorrow at lunch, hopefully my morning rattle will improve with a drainbback valve, if so will post that confirmation.

I'm in Richmond and was recently looking around for a knowledgeable, inexpensive service mechanic to do maintenance and repair any stupid mod mistakes I might make. Well, I came across a place called B&K automotive. They are off broad street and only seem to be listed in the yellow pages. Both Binh and Kit are certified toyota mechanics. They are relatively inexpensive: approx $40/hour. Also they allow you to provide your own parts and will install them for only the labor charge. I have had pretty good experiences there and thought that I would add them to the recommended list.

BTW: Excellent work building the VA4ROC site

you're right, how could I have forgotten High Tech. I'll add it shortly. I might also have one on window tinting, LA Tint in Manassas.

High Tech Auto and Truck:
Knowledgable, friendly staff. Brandon usually answers the phone. Fridays are busy days. Only downside, they are only opened Monday-Friday.

Sales: Competitive prices compared to other local shops.

Service: Minor repairs/work, customers can wait. If asked, they will park your truck inside the garage overnight (if necessary).

Parts: Competitive prices compared to other local shops or will install customer supplied parts.

Recommend High Tech for local service/work.

Thanks, it's become a real testbed for all the bells and whistles I couldn't do on Frontpage.

I will add B&K and Hight Tech reviews as soon as I get their pop up's worked out, but will put short rated blurbs on the page today.

BTW, the Scale so far is;
Not recommended/ Avoid
Limited Approval
General Approval
Above and Beyond
Unreviewed

Let me know how you rate your shop, but don't be to liberal with "rocs" or "sucks". I will be adjusting ratings based on others reports of the same shop if/when they are submitted. To avoid editorial bias I'm just going to paste your reviews under your username on the shop's page, summary will go on the main page.
Remember to post address and Phone number too.

4x4 Connection

A top notch local 4x4 shop and online store. 4x4 Connection did a majority of my mods and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Sales:
Really good prices, will drop ship to you directly from their warehouse/distributor.

Service:
Excellent service, very knowledgable staff. James Asti spent over an hour with me on a Saturday, his day off in fact, discussing my TJM, winch, lights, sliders, etc. He even gave me a tour of the shop, talking about current projects.

I had some suggestions of adding other mods and maybe another shop would have taken my money and added them. James said "lets think about this" and proceeded to advise me against doing so because his experience told him I would likely end up removing the items. That really impressed me and I will continue to support and do business with 4x4 Connection.

Parts:
Will install any parts provided or purchased through the shop.

2 big thumbs up
