This is my first toyota, I've owned it for about half a year now and decided to make a thread for it. It's a 1988 xtra cab, 22re, 5spd, top shift t-case, lifted, sas, 35's... It has 210k miles but is still running strong. It's my daily driver right now, I might change that. Here's some pics and poser shots.

 

nice rig to start off with. i just SAS'ed mine and it's my DD also. now i love dring a SAS truck.. good luck with it

What, Pirate scared you away?

 

yeah i walked the plank. I want to post and actually talk about my vehicle. Not have people put on their hard faces just because they're on pirate. I guess this thread would be more appropriate on pirate if i was doing my own 4 link setup, exo cage, etc... Even if it's mostly the same users on this board, if those same people will be human over here, then sure I'll post here.

Nice truck but wrong folder--84-85's yah I know it has been SA'ed.

 

I got some work done this past weekend.

 

Finished up the rears, and had to get a flex shot that night

 

Then with all the awesome tools I had borrowed... Bobbed her the next day.

 

nice looking truck man, but those mudflaps KILL it

 

Here's a final look with the swap and bob done. She sits about an inch lower in the rear now, but the flex, stability, and control are great. Ride quality is a little better now, but I especially like being able to keep all four tires on the ground through those sketchy spots and keep that traction on the ground... And needless to say, a buddy and I accomplished some good old fashioned wheelin'

 

haha you spoke a little too soon mattaway, since I bobbed it I made some brackets out of the old spare tire carrier... Keepin it real, keepin it legal.

i know what you're sayin, man... gotta keep the feds off ya, but i just don't like the look of any mud flaps, or fender flares, especially way over exaggerated fender flares *cough* bushwacker *cough*

 

So I got bored with a rattle can.. then ran outta paint I'll probably finish the bed this weekend though.

 

Ah I think I know what you're talking about. I hate people who have crazy fender flares so they're not breaking the law !! It's not like it makes my *cough* I mean, this idiots truck look any better

 

How are you liking the 63's ? My 63's 2 springs are taken out and it rides like a cadillac. I drive my truck everyday and around town. No problems with it being too soft, it's perfect.
