Fan switch runs on high only
Hey guys, I did a search, and was unlucky in finding anything that helped me, so I am hoping someone here has had this problem, and found the fix to help me out. I love my AC blowing cold air, but it gets to a point when it is getting past my comfort level, and I want to drop fan speed a little.
1991 pickup with AC. I have only one fan speed, and it is high only. What is the fix, and any and all details on fixing it would be appriciated. Thank you in advance.

blowe motor resister, found on the passenger side, just under the dash behind the glove box
it's got one plug-in, holds in with 2 screws:

my 91 had the same issue when I first got it. $45 later from the dealership, all my fans speeds work now

Ditto on the resistor.
Resistors are designed to allow only the high function when they fail. As the resistor's job is to route the current through another path to limit the amount of power going to the fan.
I dont know if that makes sense. I cant explain it any better. lol
