Question Shift question

I have a manual transmission with 4wd. QUESTION is When I shift to 4H is it supposed to stay in place. It does not stay in place and is just feels like wobbly.

Pull the shifter out, check the bushing and clean the rust of. i put a little grease on mine to help it out a little, smooth as butter now.

A new detent spring might help. They're cheap, so it's worth a shot I guess. Here's a link to the TG one http://www.trail-gear.com/transferca...fterparts.html However, I have heard from other people that the shifter becomes ridiculously hard to shift with the new spring.
