ok i bought a 1991 toyota pickup extcab 4x4 v6 and it worked like a charm for a while and i moved to bc and my dad drove my baby more than i did.

1. the clutch pedal broke off underneith the dash there is a mounting bracket that busted off the four spot welds so we had to fix that i had to clutch after that and even before that i noticed that when i parked down hill it jumped out of gear and when i drove it would grind like hell when i put it in reverse and i thought part of it had to do with a bad clutch in it and the pedal problem cus i dont have much clearance to beginwith on the pedal.

2. i left for 2 weeks and my dad drove my truck and i come back and there were no such thing as 1st and 2nd gear but i could put it in 3rd and drive and burn the hell out of the clutch. so would like to know if it is somthing to do with the gears are completley gone in the tranny or if its forks or somthing ive replaced the flywheel and a rear main seal and a clutch and i now i might have to replace the tranny

PLEASE SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE NICE ASAP

 

1. would be to readjust the clutch, check the master and slave for leakage - when that bracket breaks, many people report having pushed through the master as well, causing damage to it / sounds like the slave isnt pushing to it's full force... blead the system and check for leaks?

2.does it not go into 1st/2nd when motor off from nuetral?

 

the thing that is wrong with the tranny is that even when the truck is off i will put it in 1st or 2nd and go down below and spin the back of the tranny usually it would be stiff it was in gear right and even off it just spins from nuetral but as soon as it goes into 3rd it will stop spinning ive been told it could be 1st and 2nd gears are blown or worn down.....but i made a mistake the first thing i should of done is pull the plug to see if there was any metal shavings or anything cus then that would tell me somthings gone inside?
