homemade intake systems?

homemade intake systems?

i dont want to pay 250 for a new intake system for my 4runner and one of my buddies was telling me i can go and get a cone filter and just make the rest myself. would this work and if so how can i do it?

check ebay I can get one for my truck for like 60 or something like that... or at auto zone they sell all the parts to make your own.

3vze 3.0L v6??

If so, search ISR mod. And stick with the stock airbox and a paper filter. Its much better then an open cone filter setup.
