So I finally got a little time for a 90' 4X4 I have that I wanted to update a little and put some TLC into.

First thing is she needs tires. Was just going to throw another set of 33x15's on her but had a thought about maybe some new style 17" (33x12.5x17) wheels.

Any one do this? Pics? Maybe direct me to a thread? Stupid idea?

I'm definitely more for function over form, so if they won't work well I'm cool scraping that idea. Just thought it might update the truck a little.

Did some searching, but can't find any info or pics. Would like to make a decision pretty quick as I have a little bit of time right now. Thanks for any info or suggestions.

 

Think I answered my own question. Did a little "white trash photo shop" and think they might look too "bro-dozer". Also, I realized less sidewall will mean less off road performance. No bueno!

Well, it was just a thought. Would still like to see a pic.

 

My understanding is companies are wanting to phase out 15" tires, I am thinking I am going to upgrade to a 16" wheel for a larger tire selection.

 

I went with 18" on my 80, went with LT285's. Pretty much the same size as 35" but not a wide. They fit perfect with no spacers.
