will a gas tank swap from a 4runner to a pick up ?

like it says will it ? i've got an 86 pickup with a 22r the tank leaks at the seams . a friend justy totaled his 87 4runner with a 22re. (i'll pprolly end up with the truck for parts) will the gas tank swap out ? thanks.

Dont think you can swap carbed and efi'd tanks IIRC.

No, they do not interchange. Different mounts, and besides that one is an EFI tank, the other is for Carbs.

Convert your truck to fuel injected with the parts from his truck. Then it will work....
