Found cheaper alternative to PC polisher a.k.a. Corey Cable
Was searching HarborFreight.com and found this:

One thing to watch out for is it's not a ramdom orbital.
In other words, it goes in a perfect circle, unlike the PC one that goes in a random orbit, which eliminates the burning of the paint.

You also have to watch out the pad mounts to the machine.
One great thing about the PC is that you can push _HARD_ on the edge of the pad and it won't dig into the paint. It'll just flex.
The mounting plate on the polisher is high quality rubber, is strong as all heck, and only attaches to the motor drive at one small point, about 3/8" (?) in diameter. On a 7" disc, that leaves you a LOT of comfort room.
Some of the cheaper polishers use a stiff backing plate either the full size of the disc or much larger than the driveshaft size which can be a real problem if you happen to lean into the pad a bit too hard.

Blue, you can get the PC for $109 from Lowes.

Just thought I'd follow up on this...
I purchased a Harbor Freight polisher and a Meguiar's hook and loop foam polishing pad. Grand total: $33. The polisher was on Sale for $20.
The results:
No burned paint. Though I did manage to splash polish in my wiper arms.

I think the random orbital is one of those better safe than sorry things...
I was looking at picking one up but the Tacomas have a good amount of contour and that's what gives me the headache. If the polisher doesn't help then I'd rather not bother.
