driver side blinking rapidly, Where to start looking?

When i throw on my left turn, all i get is a very rapid turn signal. the turn signal itself doesn't light up nor the hazards, but the dash lights are working. I have checked all the fuses, and everything seems fine. Where should i start looking? Anyone have any problems? My Truck is an 88 4runner sr5. Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

Change the bulbs? That's what happens when a bulb goes out, the blinker speed changes, kind of a built in warning system that a bulb is out.

then most likely , you have a ground issue .

check front and rear bulbs for "lighting" , as well as the sockets for rust .

The bulb sockets on my pickup get pretty worked. They need to be cleaned up so the bulb will make good contact to the socket.
