cylinder heads

whats the strategy for pulling the heads off of the block? i cant pull them off... : (

the exhaust manifold is loose and also the exhaust pipe coming of the manifold

it just will not lift off...how does everybody do it?

I've found a well placed hit from a dead blow hammer will knock a lot of things loose.
But first thing is making sure all the bolts are loose, intake, everything.

Muscles?

Did you take ALL of the bolts out? Even the one oddball towards the front on the outside? Might take some prying. Put your purse down and give it hell.

hey now...i can lift the cylinder head. thats not the problem

lol

im just having difficulty with getting the cylinder head free from the exhaust manifold

i forgot i had another exhaust line going to the back of my manifold to unbolt.
