Red face Help My 15 Amp EFI Fuse Keeps Popping - How do i stop this

my truck is currently not working because my efi fuse keeps popping

i dont know what to start to check if this is happening

also one fuse was lasting 2 weeks until it would pop

this morning i used 3 to try to get her to fire but they all kept popping

so what should i check for a short somewher?

i did do the relay rear window fix before the problem happened (i dont think this is the prob) still didnt fix my rear window

also when this first happened i took it in to the dealership and they replace the fuse and fixed the bad connection at efi harness

do you think the connection is bad again in the efi harness

i have to research the efi harness because i dont even know where its located

check out your o2 sensor wires. make sure it hasent started burning to the exhaust. most likely thats your problem

^^ yes. Also, check that the e-brake under the dash hasn't worn through the harness.

I've heard of a bad fuel pump doing this.

Considering it's a completely seperate circuit, I'd say no. Unless you did some crazy wild messy wiring job and cut into the wrong wires somewhere.....

I'd look at the obvious first. You say there was a bad connection at the harness at one time and it was fixed once before. Is there a reason you don't want to check that out??

i had this problem it was my o2 sensor wires burning on the exhaust in front of the cat
I just cut all the bad burnt wires off and spliced the good parts back together

ya the reason i dont want to check it out right now is because my car is in the mountains stuck where no service is and to tow it home will probably cost 150

so hopefully i can get a ride there tommorow to try and fix it

thanks for the help guys just trying to gather all the info possible
