I just weighed my vehicle on a grain scale. It weighed 3870 lb with a half tank and no person or cargo. I can't seem to figure 5500 lbs gvw with what I got on the scale. I know the scale is standardized every year to calculate the amount of feed the cattle get. even though it's old school double beam balance ie not electronic I've weighed my other more lighter cars and they came to within the tens of pounds that they were quoted at. So it has the 4 cyl 4wd. I removed the running boards and replaced them with two front mudflaps and a trailer package. Does this sound right or should I take it to another scale to get another figure. BTW it's for sale

 

gvw is "GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT" meaning that's how much you can have your 4runner loaded down with crap (total weight)...anymore and the manufacturer thinks its bad.

And gvw is not the actual weight
