Rear Axel Seal Problems

I bought a 1999 4 runner about 2 months ago. I noticed the drives side rear axel seal was leaking. I have changed the inner seal 3x and i cannon get it to stop. Fluid is still getting past it. I am very careful when I put the seal in and I use Toyota seals. Any suggestions?? It is driving me nuts. Oh and by the way I use synthetic oil in it as well.

Thanks for the help.

I had a Dodge that was doing that and had it fixed under warrenty a few times, They also had to replace my brakes because the oil was ruining them. They never could stop it. I bought an aftermarket seal and put it in...no more leaks.

But I would also recomend not using the synthetic gear lube if your having a leak problem. If theres a scratch in you seal seat it will find it. You might have better luck with regular gear oil.
