How do I lower my 2WD?

Onto the next part of the truck. Not looking to "slam it", but I want to get it noticeably lower. Are there kits out there, or is there a simple home made way I can do this? Any links, or information would be apprieciated.

It's been done. Quite successfully might I add. Throw a locker in one of those and get the advantage of better gas mileage and much better front travel because you don't have to deal with CV shafts up there. It's an option.

Well, it is primarily a 4WD forum as has been pointed out. That said, done right and done tastefully, some trucks look pretty good lowered. I don't understand lowering a 4WD, but for a 2WD, sure...have at 'er.

Things like this:

I just don't get...

Yeah I dont get it either. Why would someone buy a Chevy?

Honestly I used to think they were a waste of a perfectly good truck. But I have gone to the dark side, I would bag my truck if I could afford it. But just like you guys like to make your stuff capable off road, they like to make it look good. Its a way to be different than all the other crack smokin' ricers.

I would trade all my vehicles in a heartbeat for a 4-door 3rd gen pickup dually (not flatbed but real bed with stock flares) from Japan, just to bag it. That is my dream truck. Well, that plus a 1uz lol.

/rant

Anyways you can also take a look at yotascene.com

Ah, common misconception. When built right bagged trucks can ride better AND handle more weight than stock. Just like big tow rigs use bags to help/level the load. The problem is finding a trailer that will go that low lol.

Yep that works. Flip a drop hitch upside down. I was imagining a 5th wheel though lol.

my other truck besides my yota is an 7.3 powerstroke and i haul trailers with it very frequently and differnt trailers everything from an 6 foot utility trailer to an 38foot goosneak enclosed trailer. i understand the advantages of bags but you would have to have an trailer custom made to pull behind that truck, so when your buddy needs an hand to get his stock trailer home when has some trouble on the side of the road or you need another trailer for another application your SOL. let alone the fact they probably have the inside of the bed choped to hell so when you have to load up that ton of gravel for your driveway its just going to spill out allover the road besides heavens forbid you might scratch the paint.
just my oppion

I joined toyotaminis.com. Seems like a fairly small, but decent, site to gather information on dropping it. I didn't know how many inches I would want to go, but it seems to get it to the look I was origanally going for is 4/3 with some drop spindles in the front. Thanks for the help guys.
