yesterday I took apart my console around the shifter area to clean it out, since there was tons of coke/coffee grimed up in it from previous drivers

the only problem is, now its clean but it doesn't even shift out of park. i didn't pay much attention to the shift lock assembly, and left out a black plastic piece and also found a small spring when i took everything apart again.

can anyone pinpoint me in any direction to fix my car? i would greatly appreciate it.
