Flexing the $84 dollar 33 BFG MTS!
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that this is a hardcore pic but the fact I got the tires brand new for $84 each NEW is kick @$$. I sold my 33x12.50s while I was out of town (he came by dropped off a little $ and swapped tires/rims) on the steel wheels and the guy assured me they had tread. I got back and they were BALD, cracked sidewalls and tread lifting.... Now when someone says they have s30% tread and you know that 31s will look funny they had better be whats claimed!
So I swapped 33x12.50x15 MT MTZs (80% + tread) and steel wheels new for some stock alloys with some 31s that were past a blowout, I swear I saw gum, tape and glue holding these together!
I looked hard for some good meats in 31 to take the runner back to semi stock after looking I said screw it whatever is between 31 and 35 is perfect.
Anyhow I saw the thread in the tire section for cheap new mudders and figured I got screwed so I might as well go back to 33s and keep the truck.
Called and sure enough, $374 got 4 tires and mounted out the door for $447. 33x10.50x15 a little skinnier than I wanted but after wheeling them and airing down they hooked up as good as my 12.50s did.
BTW I dig the stock rims from the 3rd gen they fit real well and look decent.

Oh man.. I want to order the same ones so bad. Did you notice any body width loss (as in total rig width with the tires?) when you went from the 12.5s to the 10.5s? I'm thinking either the 10 or 11s but I can't decide? And did they say anything about their available stock?

Ehhh flexing an ifs is like trying to polish a turd!
Back flexes with the fj80 coils real nice but the front is a different story! LMAO Now that I have a DD car Ill probably look to SAS now. Wasnt convienent before.
Yeah stock rims were the biggest difference as far as tire width its 2" skinnier 1" inside and 1" outside so you only really see 1" difference from outside the rig. The stockers are what killed me off width wise!
Out of 200 33s bought on the 1st (2000 tires from BFG) they have 54 left and Im taking 1 more tomorrow for a spare. 32s I didnt ask I wanted the extra clearance over the width, I can always air down a little more to make a wider footprint.

Either way its still a smokin price on tires anyway you go and bang for the buck is good.
Im pretty pleased especially since I got hacked on my original tires. This isnt perfect but good.

Thanks yeah its the camping, surfing, mtb shuttle, ghost town exploring and canyon wandering family fun truck.
I want to do a SAS but I like the rideability on the road with the family as we travel in it too when going up and down the coast or N. Idaho so I like the IFS but I am going to start to look for a way to ease the fj80 coils to lower a little bit then back the t-bars off to allow me the extra few inches of travel which would make a decent increase (not sas
increase) in off roadability.

Why dont you just go ahead and get the 33s? Are you worried about rubbing issues? I just got mine put on today and I dont have any issues with rubbing. I am running no lift at all and everything tucks nicely when flexed.

I'm runnin 33x10.50's on no lift as well. You just have to pound down the pinch weld in the front and take out the splash guard in the rear, and if you have a truck, you have to trim that plastic piece in front of the rear wheel well.
