3VZE-Replace head gasket or swap in another engine?
Ok, so a head gasket finally blew on my stock 1990 3VZE xcab pickup with 252,XXX miles on it. Would it be worth doing a rebuild (head gasket set, pistons, rings, timing belt, pulleys, oil pump, etc), or should I swap in a remanufactured? Or lower milage engine? What else should I check out If I rebuild? Which one is more cost effective? I love this truck and just started planning some mods when the gasket blew. HELP!!
