another body swap q's
Im putting a 2wd cab& harness onto my 4wd chassis. I dont have much help and ill be borrowing a cherrypicker soon, and maybe 3 of us at the most. Any suggestions on putting the engine/tranny in first or cab first. this is a single cab and hoping 2-3 people can carry it w/out any doors, fenders, hood and back glass. thanks for any suggestions.

i suggest trying to lift the 4wd cab off with drivetrain left in place. if you can get the old off you can put on the new one.
i have lifted the body off my runner three times. it's not that hard with a little help

I used and engine host a number of times on a xtracab and on forerunner. left the engine a tranny in the 4x4 frame just make sure you either remove the shifters first , with a cherry picker left the doors on use the engine chain to the seat bolt holes. have someone balance the raditor core support

thanks for the replies. actually there is no motor and tranny on the chassis(pulled out bout2yrs ago), i dont know if we can carry the cab since i had to yank and tear the body off of the chassis a couple weeks ago since the bolts were so rusted and deformed. Lots of sawzall action and yanking and tearing. I guess ill put the engine and tranny first.
