4Runner Skid Plate on Tacoma

I just saw a 2002 4Runner Sport Edition with the stainless steel skid plate and was wondering if there is any way to attach this skidplate to the tacoma double cab since they are pretty much the same chassis. Has anyone done this? let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

Stainless huh I bet that is pretty sweet. If I were you I would just crawl under someone's Runner and look at the bolts and then compare to yours. Make sure and take a pic of the person's face when they walk out of the gas station and your laying under their truck inspecting...hahahaha Along the lines of this thread has anyone sandblasted and powdercoated their skidplate. Mine is looking pretty rough on my second gen. Still straight for now but needs some paint.

trdtacoma01,

Check out this thread. The skid plate I think you're refering to is made of Aluminum, not Steel.

Oh, BTW...Toyota wants way too much money for it....($379.01)

Check out this thread for a pic:

pfdaxe has one installed...but when he got it, it only cost $50...

The platic bottom of the Tacoma bumper is different than the 4Runner. It comes down a hair mopre and your front frame rail ends are quite different.

You could get the center aluminum part but you would need to make your own mounting brackets which would not be that hard.

The thing is all show and no go though.
