22re 1986 4runner. codes 6 & 12. Igniter checks out #53. & 7volts with 1.5v battery check. VAF is new. TPS new and adjusted. Fuel pump & Regulator new. Cold start inj. time switch new. Air Valve new. Head gasket new. Signal Generator new. Valves need to be re adjusted I had only set a cold lash and will need to adjust but they are ok, I hear 2 out of place. Timing is Spec.

Won't start cold. I have ohm'd out every possible thing with my dvom, and I can't figure out what is causing codes 6 & 12.

Injectors are ok, I ran the Toyota EFI cleaner with a half tank of gas & they sound the same with Stethescope up to ear & ohm out fine @ 2.5ohms. After head gasket was changed I drove for an hour and no codes, ran great. Now I am the same as before with no cold start, or increased idle when cold.

the ECU is out of an 87 4 runner and I have no Idea if its compatible or not? I just bought this and I do not know history of it except the fact that who ever owned it knew nothing and it took me a week to straighten out a lot of it.
