Question about 2002 tacoma XTRA cab!! HELP

Im getting ready to purchase a 2002 tacoma xtra cab (not Crew cab)

I was wondering if the backseat was really cramped.
I have a 2yr old and She will be sitting back there, and I was wondering if she would be pretty comfortable?
Shes tiny, and I think she could probably fair pretty well for a few years.

What is your take?
All you xtra cab owner, please share your oppinions.
Please dont tell me to get the crew cab, because If I could afford it, thats what I would GET!

Thanks everyone in advance!!

Also

I would guess try the car seat brutha! my seats on my old 03 had a latch for the top attachment for the car seat, (kid facing fwd) so when you have to lock it up, your little one dont get whiplash. get a carfax! tacomas here they want TOP dollar for. so i couldn't tell ya. oh yah, if they want to sell it bad enough, they'll let you put in your car seat. or if your really wanting the room, get a runner. but-there goes your bed!

dont know about how cramped they are.. beings that iv never rode back there..but as mentioned look it over really good, and get a carfax if possible.. a co-worked just bought a 03 sr5 v6 taco with like 110k on it for like 10,000. toyota trucks hold there value like nobodys buisness around my area.. so to me that sounds like a smokin deal.. as long as its not been wrecked or has some problem the seller isnt telling you.

It's tight back there. I was shopping for a Tacoma and skipped on the extra cabs, because of this. Personally, I would not want my child to suffer back there. I know she's small now, but as soon as she gets to be 3-4' tall, it'd be really uncomfortable. Plus the bench seats are lacking any signs of cushioning.

If you can't swing a double cab, maybe a 1st Gen Tundra would be a better option for you? But keep looking. A guy here bought one (double cab) on ebay for pretty cheap (~$8 - 9k, IIRC). They are around. And remember, even though Tacoma's are more expensive up front (used), they do hold their value like crazy.

Also, are you wanting a 2WD? Just FYI, those prerunners are 2WD's.
