1st Gen 4Runner Seatbelt.

The Houston, Tx police decided to fish for a DUI last night and used the reason that my passangers in the back seat did not have a seat belt. They were less than happy to find out that I wasn't drinking and that the truck didn't come with shoulder straps so they had nothing on me, but they got me thinking that Toyota should have put some in the truck.
I said that to say this has anyone else put shoulder straps in the rear seat? If so, where did y'all get them? How well did they work out? Do you have pics?
Thanks guys.

I remember seeing one truck that had them mounted to the rear roll bar or something

my dad got a ticket in texas for failing to stop at a yield...

honestly, texas has the craziest freeway turn-around yield system ever, but it comes in handy when you're lost and have to turn around

You can find them, but they are super super rare. They are not required by law, since the 4Runners did not come from the factory with them.

Find a set of front seat belts. The same bolts from the front will fit the roll bar and the side panel. I put some from other trucks in my 86 and 88 4runners.

My 88

and 86

the floor bolt will go in the side panel.

Good Lord that is GENIUS! I know what my next junkyard trip is for. I really like that idea for folks in the rear when I'm wheeling.

Thanks for posting that!
