Yesterday i was on my way to work and my check engine light came on and the truck just lost all acceleration. It only stayed on for like 1-2 seconds then went off. After the check engine light went off the truck ran fine. This happened about 3 weeks ago and i just thought maybe it was a glitch and didn't read the codes, but last night when i got home i checked codes and had a code 32 (Air flow meter) and 41 (TPS Sensor).

I had this problem about a year ago and I had the TPS Sensor changed. I had the same codes then as i do now. The problem went away until about three weeks ago.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to fix it. The problem is so intermittent that its hard to catch it with the check engine light on. Thanks

 

My 95 4runner has done the same thing twice now but I have no clue what the problem is I suspect my tps is the culprit though. Like you said it does not happen often and lasts for a second, freaks me out when it happens.

 

it freaks me out to. I was thinking it was my tps also, but since i replaced it about a year ago i don't know if it is that. have you pulled your codes yet?
