So a couple weeks ago I took my 4Runner up a canyon made it no problem... its what they do. But over the next couple weeks after the first drive or until the engine warmed up it doesnt shift right and on top of that it uses LOTS of fuel. I think im getting some where around 5 to 8 miles per gallon now.

Okay the O/D ch and the more power button dont seem to do anything at all.

The runner will go into overdrive with the O/D switch off If I leave it on the car starts to slip unless I can find away to make it jump into gear normaly by holding some high rpms and shift into N then back to D really quick. So now I just drive with the O/D switch off all the time so I avoid the slipping and it goes into overdrive with the O/D switch off anyways.

I first thought maybe all cylinders arnt fireing. so I unpluged one spark plug wire to see if it made a difference I really couldnt tell unless I unpluged like 3 then it made a difference

Now im thinking more along the lines as it being a bad relay or a bad connection some where to the tranny or in the tranny from all that heavy driving in the canyon

before my runner could burn rubber on any street no problem tons of horse power kicking out... ok maybe just 150. but now it can peel out at all

So put simply my runner doesnt shift into 2, 3, and whatever is left until I drive it for a bit, the power seems weak, and im getting very bad gas milage. ANY ADVISE? and someone already told me to sell it so I need different advise then that... and I thought about the junk yard

one to add something else because I havint found someone how can tell me.
on the passanger side of the engine where there I think are three vacuum mods like the AS and such and then theres something with what looks like an adjusting screw with a bunch of hoses on it... Ive looked in the manuals and nothing states what it is... what the heck is it
