Help Finding Paint colour code
#1
Alright I need some help on getting this certain paint. I have always liked the flat desert brown color on M1 tanks and I wanted to know if anyone knows where I could get paint similar of the same to it. I'm a little on the color blind side so I would really appreciate the help. I have done some researching but can't seem to find the right color, from what I can see
. Please and thank you!

Here's a link for fs [federal standard] colour codes that might help you... http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorch...rcharts_fs.htm
there are several military web sites that might be able to give you some help or you might try going to a hobby shop that sells models... the staff their are usually knowledgeable and may be able to provide you with the proper fs code... then take that to your automotive paint supplier and ask them to mix up/order some of it for you... heck Maaco should be able to hook you up with no trouble at all...
several members have painted their trucks in camo patterns try a search here for "camo paint" and related topics that should bring them up... one of them might be able to help also.

well i found a khaki paint at Wally world last night and decided to go with that. Prob gonna do it in a week or so depending on how the weather is. Everyone is telling me to wet sand it which is going to take way too long I think so I may just rough up the paint then spray over it. Not too experienced on preping paint work, its gonna be a rattle can job so it ain't gonna look fancy lol
