Mufflers...again hahaha

ok guys..totally tired of my turbo muffler and turndown...

im wanting to get the Cherrybomb EXTREME and run dual pipes out the side in front of the rear tire...idk how it will sound though...(of course we got a 1/2 dodge 4x4 in need of a new muffler..so if the cherrybomb dont sound good on the yota i could put it on there)

i want a nice deeeeep sound at idle and through town..highway can be a bit ricey if it has to be..

i dont wanna straight pipe it...no glasspacks

no turbo mufflers..

guess that leaves me with chambered mufflers..

throw your ideas out there guys..i wanna hear some sound clips!!!..

flowmaster, magnaflow, cherrybomb, flowtech, FORCE, dynomax...and any other chambered mufflers!..

lets hear em!

I just installed a Flowmaster SUV 50 series...I love it....sounds great at idle, and smooths out at higher RPM's. There isn't any of that horrible resonating or ricer sound.

Camo31 "10.50 - I have a Magnaflow on my toyo T100 and it sounds ok, have to have a K&N or better intake or you get the sputter. for sound if you go to- http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/04trucks.asp and click on the chevy s10 and listen to the drive by clip. that is what a 1996 Toyota t100 SR5 4x4 3.4 L V6 sounds like, at least mine anyway with magna flow.

You have a little 4 banger and there isn't much you can do that will make it not sound like a "ricer".
It IS is ricer.
Heck a gnat fart passes more gas than that does and it would sound better.
If you want something that you think sounds better (deeper etc.) then you simply need to get another type of vehicle/engine.

Yup, terminate the exhaust right under the truck like that.
Mmmmm, maybe we'll hear about you on the news one day.
It'll be something like another RIP.....

Because a "ghetto rigged" (booty fab) exhaust CAN kill you.
They kill people every year and those aren't even ghetto rigged.

I highly suggest that you read up on CO poisoning/vehicle exhaust/why not to terminate an exhaust under the vehicle, etc., as it's obvious you don't have a clue, for whatever reason(s), about carbon monoxide.

There was a tragic incident out here in AZ a couple of years ago about a family going one a trip up to the northern part of the state.
They had a pickup of some sort and had the 3 kids in the back (had a camper shell on the back) with some blankets so they could take a nap.
After a few hours they stopped for a break and found all three kids dead.
CO poisoning.

Fred
I can't count how many people run dumped exhaust, not just here, but everywhere, there's no way I could die from fumes or anything, the exhaust ends right at the axle and I drive with my windows down 24/7 since I don't use my A/C, my windows always cracked during the winter too, and I use the heater or vents on the freeway, so other then the cowl letting air in the cab, and the vents on the side of the cab, EXACTLY how the heck is anything gonna get into my cab going over like, forty mph? Chew on that one.

He's mad that I have a belief differently then his, and he seems to find it irratating that someone else *GASP* might not think the same way he does, it appears that he thinks somehow exhaust gasses will get into the cab of my truck by having the exhaust dumped after the axle. He seems to find humor in calling my exhaust "Ghetto", because I welded exhaust pipe from my manifold to glasspack, all the way around and welded the glasspack on. He appears to use an incedent where three kids illegally rode in the bed of a pickup and even had the dumber idea to ride in the said truck bed on the freeway, and died from CO poisoning, I dont sit in the bed of my truck with a camper shell on it while I'm driving it though, so I think I'm fine. Continjooooooo....

Gotta love it when the more that they yap, they more that they sound like a ......
Well, I'll be nice.

Obviously, you can't read, or at least understand what you read.
I'm not the one that called your setup "ghetto rigged", I'm simply repeating what another poster called it.
Read again, oh, wait, maybe you can't

BTW, it's not illegal to have kids riding in the back on the truck, at least not here. Again, engage brain before speaking.

Continue to believe the you can't get hurt from CO gas doing some of the things that you mention. Happens every year.

I done with this one. Some of y'all are just way off the scale.
Can't run that low......

Fred you're not being "mean" to anyone... just making your self look like a .... well you know... i won't be mean. maybe you're the one who can't read. his exhaust terminates at the axle: far enough back from the cab to be safe. it would only be sketchy if it terminated UNDER the cab where the gasses can build up and make its way into the cab. he doesn't have anyone riding in the bed with a sealed canopy on it.

if you have a criticism, you should make it constructive rather than spewing your asinine comments here. save your bs for pirate where you and everyone else can make yourselves feel better about your pathetic lives and small ego's by making worthless comments like these. you've wasted everyone's time.

i have a constructed suggestion for you now... reroute your exhaust into your cab and go for a long drive. make the world marginally better off.

as for the actual thread topic... beware of cherry bombs and glasspacks, as they don't have spark arrestors, and are illegal in many areas according to the forest services... that's if you wheel your vehicle. having it show off by poking it out the side doesn't help either good luck, though!

spark arrestors?...im curious as to what those are..lol

and im pretty sure if nobody cares about the rat rods running open headers...then they wont care if i run the CB.

yea i dont ride in my bed nor does anyone else...and besides if my exhaust runs out the side in front of the rear tire..i should be ok..seeing as how hot air rises..and im gonna be driving it all the time..

im gonna see how my turbo muffler sounds with the new motor..then get the CB if i have the money..i can get one in town cheaper than online anyways..(connections)
