Recently I found a job that required me to move from the north-west US to Florida and I just realized that I don't have A/C in my daily driver. Do you yota experts know of any resources to tell me how to install an A/C unit in a 93 pickup with the 22RE engine. I am more then competent with working on this truck and I am up for the challenge to install it myself. Thanks for all of your help.

 

I would find a donor vehicle & pull everything out! You might be able to find a wrecked truck for cheap, pull the A/C & sell the rest of the parts. Check on Craigslist!!!! You could go to your local pick a part but all of the components may add up. Just remember that if your truck never had A/C then you need all of the stuff inside too like the evaporator, expansion valve, A/C controls & the plastic box that it fits in. That's why I think a wrecked donor vehicle is the way to go. It's all pretty straight forward as long as you have ALL of the parts.

i've had my truck for 8 years in Atlanta. while i'm moving it's not to bad with all the windows open including the wing windows. But once I stop wow you'll deffinately want the a/c mod when you get down there.
