Gas Tank Capacity

What is the gas tank capacity on a 1994 Pickup, 4WD, Standard Cab, Short Wheel Base truck? Anybody know off the top of your head?

65 litres I believe. IIRC, all pre-95 trucks and 4Runners were 65L.

Wow, didn't realize the extent of the variation in tank capacities.

Well gee Mr. super moderator, I don't happen to have one of the little books in my glove compartment. Did you ever think of that? Thank you, however, for taking the time to google the information, but wouldn't it have been much easier to just say 17? Think of all the finger work you could have saved. Geez!

well that's strange, cause on my 91 PU standard cab short bed, I know I've put over 14 gallons in it at once

I'm guessing that you also filled the fill neck up too when doing that. The capacities are based on allowing expansion and vapor recovery.

or maybe it's all a conspiracy and the gas stations want us to think we're getting more gas for our dollar than we really are

And think of all the finger work you could have saved had you not even replied... or even googled it yourself instead of replying to his post for that matter.

My '91 4x4 reg cab short bed has a 15 gal tank(I'm 96% sure), but the owners manual is contradictory on the subject...the manual seems to say it's the larger tank(17g), but judging from when I ran out of gas(testing different octane gas) and how much it took to fill it, it's not 17g, it's more like 15g.

Anyone bother to read that little sticker on the pump?
"Volume adjusted at 0 degrees C or 15 degrees C?"
I've crammed 60L in my 55L tank when it was stupid cold this winter (-30C).
Filled it up on friday at balmy 13C, and got 55.7. Full to the neck.
Go figure.

I don't have my owners manual in front of me just now, and I'm not going to get it at 01:23hrs lol, but I think the tank capacities are quoted in Litres and Imperial Gallons which are different to US Gallons.
