my first calculator was the size of a brick and had 4 functions and no memory...
my first computer was an 8088 clone w/5.25 floppy... when I got it the 386s had just come on the market... I remember my folks had been very anti-computer up til then... they said it was a passing fad and a waste of money... The only use I was ever able to get out of it was as a word processor... silly thing kept freezing up if you tried to run anything else... no modem either... MSDOS os no windows...
does anyone remember buying the cheap one sided diskettes and cutting the notch in the other side with a knife to make it a two sided?
I remember those 1200/1400 bauds now?
