Ive had these parts sittin around for a while, but i finally got a buddy to help put it all on. Did bj spacers in the front and shackles in the rear. I also did both upper ball joints, a tie rod end, and both front wheel bearings. She rides like a dream now. I dont have any progress pictures or any before pictures that i havent already posted here, but here are the after pics

What shackles are you running?

Yeah, looks real good. BJ spacers are the only lift an IFS truck should ever see in my opinion. Otherwise, SAS. Those drop bracket "procomp type" lifts are pretty much all show. Throw a locker in the rear and some low range transfer case gears and you'll be blown away at the places you'll be able to go. Nice truck!

 

Ha. Thats like exactly what I had planned for my '93

 

I paid 130 for the spacers and front shocks from a guy on the forums 60 for the rear shocks and 85 for the shackles. So 275 total. I'm thinking about locking the rear end but I'm not sure about the road behaviors. I really wish Aussie made a locker for a v6 third. Thanks for the compliments. I would highly recommend this combo for anyone who's thinking about it. I love it. Can't wait to get it offroad but my brothers graduation is this weekend so I can't go for at least another week

 

Lookin good, I ran a very similar setup on my truck for quite some time.
I would highly recommend an autolocker, mine is an aussie but I don't think the lockrights for v6 diffs handle much differently I've heard they're a bit louder but the road manners are similar.

its time to take pics of my lift now lol. just put on the baldish 33 inch swamper tsl 's lol. but i got to take them off. i think their heavier than my buddys 35 inch bfg all terrains, and im wandering everywhere on the road. on trails the whole steering rocks about. the 31's never did that.tsk tsk bias ply. i didnt balance the 33s and im so surprised the truck hasnt bounced around, hmm time to drive on the hwy yay

 

What did you do for an alignment after the BJ spacers?

 

i will probably go for a lockright as soon as i have the cash flow then..

gary, that doesnt sound too safe, i would really invest in a new set of tires for your rig

and abe, i took it to a shop five minutes down the road before i even thought about driving it.. i was back there twice because after the first time they aligned it the truck had a bad pull to the right

Looks good. I am so much more a pickup guy now that I have several...4Runners are nice and all but just something about a pickup.

 

same here. i feel that 4runners are more like for people with families stock but when lifted i drool looking at them especially the ones with an sas.

 

i also love the pickups.. but i use it to haul stuff, like the dirtbikes
