dport got a new 4runner

Well, after begging for so long, I (we) have got a 4Runner. 01 SR5 4WD sunroof, and the usual stuff, 134,000 miles. The best part is I traded our 04 corolla straight up for it. I found the runner on craigslist and liked the pics/stats. I about cried when the guy finished the ad with "also looking for a toyota or honda car". I emailed the guy last weds. and spoke on thurs. and drove about 460 miles on mon. to do the trade. The runner is def. in better shape than our car was after letting several people borrow it and the kind of trashing the interior. I am still dumbfounded that the guy went through with the transaction. The best part is we got a runner, without getting a payment since we recently paid off the car.

Sweet. I guess you would know if you got a sweet deal, but either way it's always nice to see another member get a clean truck. Congrats on the swap!

Come on wab, this is for the wife and unborn child. It is super clean. I have not found a single ding in any of the body panels and there's only about 6 tiny chips in the paint in various places. The bumper has the standard corner dent and there's 2/3 minor stains that will come out with a good detail. It also appears that all work was performed at the dealership, the belts, battery, coolant, tranny fluid, brake pads and oil are all toyota. There's even a receipt in the glovebox showing that the tint was done at the dealership.

I have had several friends drive by my house just to look at it b/c they assumed I gut a POS by trading the car. They all look and say I'm the luckiest SB they know. My week gets better. On weds, I gave $80 for a camper shell, with a roof rack for my Taco. I slept in it last night for the 1st time
